ASSISTANT COACHING INFO.
We would like
to welcome Assistant Coach Bob Kersetter to our
program. Bob comes to us with a long history of
coaching and rowing experience. Bob has been
actively working with the boys during winter work
outs.
Coach Welsh is
seeking assistant coaches on a volunteer basis to
help out with the crew season. Below is a brief
description what he is seeking and what the criteria
required by the school for this position:
..........could use one more (at least -- preferably
two) volunteer coach to help out with the girls. I'm
expecting a good-sized freshman group and I'd love
to get them out on the water as often as possible
without shifting due to lack of coaches. If you
know of anyone who would like to help out
this spring, feel free to give them my phone
number/e-mail. We'll be glad to train any new
coaching prospects. Even
if they
just have experience on the club level, that would
be fine for freshman/novice kids. The volunteer
coaches just need to be high school grads (at least
two years out). They don't need any credits.
They would need CPR training, but there are courses
available locally they can take and I'm checking
into whether or not an online course that
USRowing offers would be sufficient for the school. Thanks.
Please
share this information with any friends or older
siblings who are attending college locally and have
the time to put in.
If you
have any questions, contact Coach Dan Welsh
